Logical Database Name (-ld)
Use Logical Database Name (
-ld) to assign the logical name to a database. If you omit this parameter, Progress uses the physical database name (without the path or.dbsuffix).

The name must be a valid identifier, which means:
A logical database name cannot include Progress 4GL reserved words, a space, any accented letters, or the following special characters:
